Barclays’ Trade & Working Capital team Appoints Payman Jassim

Barclays has appointed Payman Jassim as a director within its trade and working capital transaction management team. Based in London, Jassim will be responsible for driving the execution of structured trade transactions, by working closely with the trade origination team to create solutions for clients’ trade finance needs.

Jassim joins Barclays from JP Morgan, where he was a structured trade advisor. Prior to this, he was a trade finance lawyer with Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), SNR Denton and White & Case. He has extensive front line trade finance experience, structuring and executing a broad range of structured trade finance products for clients across multiple jurisdictions and industry sectors.

Ray Zabarte, head of trade and working capital product management at Barclays said: “Payman brings with him a broad and experienced skill set covering the entire trade and working capital product line.”
