BNP Paribas Cash Management launches Global EBICS Offer in Germany

BNP Paribas has launched its Global EBICS offer, an innovative solution based on the German connectivity standard for electronic banking internet communication standard (EBICS) transactions. The launch enables the bank’s corporate clients across 40 countries to benefit from a highly secure file-transfer protocol for their BNP Paribas accounts worldwide.

The bank added that the new offer is well suited for German customers (large corporates and mid-caps) looking to manage their accounts abroad by leveraging their existing German IT infrastructure. It is also meant for early adopters building a second-generation payment factory. Corporates are able to use one single file format such as extensible markup language (XML) for multiple transactions in different countries.

“Our Global EBICS solution leverages the widespread use of EBICS and combines the state-of-the-art security features of this domestic channel with a worldwide reach,” said Andrej Ankerst, head of cash management Germany, BNP Paribas. “Global EBICS enables our corporate customers to upgrade their local solutions to global ones.”

Corporate clients can access the expertise of a global dedicated cash management team experienced in local and global solutions. Secondly, they can take advantage of an infrastructure that is set up for handling high volumes of transactions.
