Investec, Metro Bank and TSB have joined the Payments Council as full members, bringing membership to an all-time high of 36. The organisation also has 27 associate members.

The Payments Council is responsible for ensuring that payment services work for all those that use them in the UK. Members have the opportunity to participate and contribute to the future strategy of payments, on topics including the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA), regulation, security and authentication, integrity, standards and innovation.

“I’m delighted to welcome Investec, Metro Bank and TSB as full members of the Payments Council,” said Adrian Kamellard, chief executive of the Payments Council. “The collaborative efforts of our members are continuing to deliver significant improvements for both financial institutions and customers and growing our membership with these leading organisations helps further extend the reach of these benefits.”
