Colin Kerr

As the industry manager for payments and core banking, Colin Kerr has responsibility for defining Microsoft's vision, solutions, and partner strategy for payments and core banking across the worldwide financial services sector. He has over 20 years of financial services industry experience in the development and marketing of banking and payments solutions in Europe and the US. Before joining Microsoft in 2008, Kerr was the research area director for Global Payments at TowerGroup, a leading research and advisory services firm. Prior to that, he spent nine years at ABN Amro Bank's North American headquarters and led the development of payments and cash management solutions for Fortune 500 global corporate clients. In 1994, Kerr moved to the US from the UK with a vendor of international wholesale banking solutions. His career started in the retail division of the Midland Bank, now part of HSBC. Kerr is a certified treasury professional (CTP), an active member of the Association of Financial Professionals (AFP) and often contributes to industry publications. In addition, he has spoken at industry conferences throughout the world.
