Neil Ainger is former editor-in-chief of GTNews [2012-2013] and now a regular freelance contributor. He has a keen interest in treasury, technology and banking, especially in the payments and mobile fields, having previously been the deputy editor at Informa's Banking Technology title and editor of FSTech. During his time with GTNews he wrote about many cash management, trade finance, regulatory, risk, and SWIFT and SEPA-related issues, in addition to financial planning and analysis (FP&A), the internationalisation of the renminbi (RMB) and a host of other topics. Ainger also moderated webinars, roundtables, ran the annual awards judging panel and wrote many awards/FP&A case studies and other articles for GTNews. He has also worked at Reed Elsevier and on internal publications for BT Global, PwC and Lucent Communications (in NYC), having been employed as a journalist since graduating from the University of Leeds, UK, in 1995, with a BA (Hons) in English Literature.
