UniCash has been created through co-operation between 11 major banks in 10 European countries to deliver effective International Cash Management. Participating banks are Banca Intesa Spa, Crédit Agricole, DG BANK, ICCREA Banca, KBC Bank, ‘la Caixa’, Lloyds TSB Bank, OKOBANK, Rabobank, RZB Austria and Union Bank of Norway. Participating banks have linked their payment systems. With UniCash, companies can open bank accounts in any of the participating countries through their local bank, making cross border transfers as easy and cost-effective as local ones. Payments or collections abroad can be managed through the electronic gateway with their local bank. UniCash offers an instant view on account balances and transactions from a single point of access. All UniCash banks have committed themselves to common standards laid down in a Service Level Agreement. For specific financial advice and support, companies can therefore turn to their local bank. The high-density branch network of the participating banks guarantees efficient domestic banking services ‘just around the corner’ in each participating country.
