Sterling Commerce Announces Two New File Transfer Products

Sterling Commerce has announced two new file transfer products. The first is a pre-built, single application file gateway solution that offers point-and-click configuration within a rules-based architecture. Sterling File Gateway extends the value chain with managed file transfer (MFT) capabilities to handle high-frequency messages, periodic file transfers and high volume loads of real-time data while leveraging business-to-business (B2B) integration to move data in transit in a manageable way. The company has also launched Sterling File Accelerator (SFA), which combines the company’s Connect:Direct point-to-point file transfer software with a new UDP Data Transfer-based file transport (UDT) – an application-level data transport protocol designed to overcome the latency issues associated with transmission control protocol (TCP)-based transmissions.
