SouthPeak Interactive Appoints Reba McDermott as CFO

SouthPeak Interactive Corporation has appointed Reba McDermott as chief financial officer. She has served as SouthPeak’s interim chief accounting officer since August 2009.

Previously, McDermott was the CFO of OuterNetManagement, a Texas-based data centre services company providing network security, software-as-a-service (SaaS), virtualisation, hosted business applications and private cloud architectures. Before that, she served as assistant plant controller and plant controller at the Canton, New York facility of Corning, a Fortune 500 specialty glass and ceramics manufacturer. Prior to joining Corning, McDermott was assistant controller and corporate controller for AspyrMedia, a Texas-based developer and distributor of video games. She has also served in various capacities, including cost accounting manager and revenue analyst, for Silicon Laboratories, a semiconductor manufacturer.

McDermott holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Virginia Commonwealth University, a bachelor’s degree in marketing management from the University of Arkansas and a MBA from the University of Texas.
