Cobra Electronics, a designer of mobile communications and navigation products, has announced that Michael Smith has resigned as senior vice president (SVP) and chief financial officer (CFO), effective 31 January 2011. Bob Ben, vice president and corporate controller, has been appointed as interim CFO while Cobra launches a search for a permanent replacement.
Smith has accepted a position as chief operating officer (COO) of a privately-held company in the specialty apparel industry.
