Brocade, a networking solutions company, has announced that Richard Deranleau, chief financial officer (CFO), has left the company to pursue other interests and the company has promoted Dan Fairfax to the position.

Fairfax previously served as Brocade’s vice president of global services from August 2009 to June 2011 and vice president of business operations from January 2009 to August 2009. Prior to Brocade, Fairfax served as vice president, finance and administration, and CFO of Foundry Networks from January 2007 until December 2008, when Foundry was acquired by Brocade.

Fairfax brings over 25 years of senior financial and operations management experience including senior vice president (SVP) and CFO of GoRemote Internet Communications, and CFO of Ironside Technologies, ACTA Technology and NeoVista Software.
