Fifth Third Bank has hired Jan-Erik Andersen as group head of international banking for its commercial bank. In this role, Andersen will lead the bank’s international corporate banking and trade finance divisions, and oversee a growing team providing comprehensive corporate banking products and services to US and foreign-based companies and institutions engaged in global business operations.
Andersen brings more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry in Asia and the Americas. Before joining Fifth Third Bank, he served as a head of origination and client coverage and co-head of wholesale banking in southeast Asia and in the Americas for Standard Chartered. Originally from Norway, he graduated from the University of Denver.
