Malaysian Airlines Teams with PayPal for Mobile Payment Options

Malaysia Airlines said that a partnership with payment processor PayPal will enable customers to reserve and book travel on its services on their smartphones, using the airline’s website or MHMobile app and pay for tickets quickly and easily using their PayPal accounts. The airline added that it was the first in Southeast Asia to provide faster and safer mobile payments.

“More and more customers are turning to mobile these days and we are working towards enhancing the customer experience by ensuring safer, smoother transactions via mobile devices,” said Al-Ishsal Ishak, Malaysia Airlines’ senior vice-president (SVP) of marketing and promotions.

The MHMobile application is available for iOS, Android and Nokia Widows phone mobile devices. The mobile checkout solution from PayPal has been integrated with the Société Internationale de Télécommunications Aéronautiques (SITA) mobile ticketing system, used by more than 500 airlines worldwide.
