The Cooperative Purchasing Network Selects US Bank as Card Provider

US Bank has been awarded a contract to provide purchasing card services to The Cooperative Purchasing Network (TCPN). The agreement streamlines the onboarding process for TCPN’s 30,000-plus active government and non-profit members and will lower costs, reduce paperwork and enhance the efficiency of their payment processes.

TCPN is a national purchasing co-operative that contracts on behalf of primary and secondary (aka K-12) schools, higher education, local governments and non-profit organisations in all 50 US states. Established to help public entities operate more economically, TCPN leverages its collective membership to bid and award contracts, negotiating on behalf of its individual members.

“We are pleased to have earned this opportunity to bring our next-generation e-payment tools to the broad spectrum of TCPN member organisations across the country,” said Jeff Rankin, senior sales and marketing officer for US Bank Corporate Payment System. “Our track record of helping public sector and non-profit organisations operate more efficiently speaks for itself. We are eager to bring our expertise to the member organisations of TCPN.”

The US Bank purchasing card programme, now available to TCPN members, provides organisations with cost-effective automated payments, when increasing public scrutiny and decreasing budgets are making paper-based, labour-intensive processes unaffordable. The programme cuts costs, improves transparency and enhances financial oversight.
