Burger King Adopts Hanse Orga’s FinanceSuite

Burger King, the second-largest fast food hamburger restaurant worldwide, has introduced the FinanceSuite cash and liquidity management platform of software provider Hanse Orga, which specialises in SAP-integrated finance solutions. Due to its global and complex set-up Burger King required a more granular and accurate cash forecast with a longer time horizon.

With the Hanse Orga solution the cash forecasting has been largely automated leading to time savings and more detailed and reliable planning data for the corporation which manages royalties coming from over 12,000 restaurants worldwide. Over 99 % of the actuals cash flow data for the corporation in the US are now assigned automatically. As a consequence, Burger King is able to conduct variance analyses at much greater detail and on a rolling basis. Thanks to the transfer of know-how from Hanse Orga consultants to key users, Burger King has been empowered to lead the roll-out to other regions.

“By implementing the FinanceSuite we were able to automate the non-value added activities of the cash management processes and to produce a more accurate forecast in a shorter time period,” said Paulo Barbosa, former group treasurer, Burger King and now head of finance for the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region. “The SAP-integrated software has proven to be exactly the right solution for our needs.”
