Owens-Illinois (O-I), an Ohio-based glass packaging manufacturer, has selected Juan Amezquita to lead the company’s treasury function effective immediately.
Amezquita will be responsible for management of the company’s worldwide financial assets, as well as domestic and international financing. He also will lead the company’s global treasury and risk management functions. Amezquita joined O-I in 2005 as treasurer of O-I Peldar, the company’s joint venture in Colombia. Since then, he has held a variety of positions in Latin America and North America, most recently as assistant treasurer since 2010.
Prior to joining O-I, Amezquita spent more than 20 years in various finance roles in multiple industries in Colombia.
