VeriFone Integrates ReD Real-time Fraud Screening with PAYware Ocius

ReD’s online transaction monitoring and fraud prevention service can now be accessed as part of VeriFone’s PAYware Ocius managed payments solution. With ReD Shield as a value-added component, PAYware Ocius actively identifies and helps prevent fraudulent transactions.

VeriFone’s PAYware Ocius provides multi-channel merchants with Payment Card Industry (PCI)-compliant hosted card acceptance and supports end-to-end encryption and tokenisation. By providing ReD services integrated into PAYware Ocius, VeriFone is able to deliver a managed service that covers merchant security and anti-fraud requirements whatever the channel of delivery – internet, mail order, telephone order and interactive TV. ReD Shield provides transaction monitoring and analytics for real-time fraud screening and provides a safe environment for all types of card-not-present (CNP) commerce.

Tony Saunders, vice president and general manager, VeriFone UK and Ireland, said: “Merchants increasingly need a payment service and support partner to manage not only card acceptance and PCI compliance but also the growing threat of fraud. Much of this can only be identified from monitoring and analysing transactions to identify misuse and other trends. PAYware Ocius now provides merchants the option to do so direct from our managed service platform. We can offer retailers a stable and secure infrastructure that will protect and detect against fraud, while also enabling speedy and secure electronic transactions when it matters the most.”
