Myers Industries Appoints Monica Vinay as Treasurer

Myers Industries, the polymer products manufacturer, has appointed Monica Vinay as vice president of investor relations and treasurer.

In this position, Vinay will be responsible for acting as the primary day-to-day interface between the company and the investment community, overseeing treasury operations including cash management and directing corporate communications efforts, the company said.

She began her career at the Akron, Ohio-based group in March 2010 as director of finance and IT for its distribution segment. In March 2011, she became director of investor and financial relations and in December 2012, she was promoted to director of investor relations and communications.

Prior to joining Myers, Vinay worked at Barnes Group in various finance roles including controller, Barnes Distribution and director of finance, logistics and manufacturing services.

She holds a BSBA in finance and accounting from the University of Akron and an MBA from Ashland University.
