Japan Travel Firm HIS Adopts DataCash’s Fraud Management Solution
Japanese travel group HIS Co is adopting DataCash’s fraud management solution, GateKeeper:2.0 to enable safe and convenient online sales in Malaysia and Indonesia.
HIS is a global travel enterprise, with net annual sales reaching 479.4bn yen (JPY) (US$4.55bn; £2.82bn), 298 retail stores in Japan, and 177 branches in 122 cities across the rest of the world. DataCash, whose parent is MasterCard, provides multi-channel global payment processing services and fraud prevention and risk management solutions to merchants and banks.
HIS is building on its existing use of DataCash MasterCard Internet Gateway Services (MiGS). DataCash MiGS is an online payments platform which enables HIS to accept and process payments in multiple regions, now including Malaysia and Indonesia, through a single platform. DataCash MiGS connects to 120 acquiring banks worldwide and the global capabilities will assist HIS’ future digital expansion plans.
HIS has also integrated DataCash’s GateKeeper:2.0, a next generation fraud and risk management solution, which detects fraud and risk with pin-point accuracy “without negatively impacting the genuine customer experience.”
“Together these developments will enable HIS to provide a safe, efficient and convenient payment experience for its consumers, providing valuable brand consistency and assurance, whilst entering these exciting new markets,’’ said Rob Luton, division president, Japan, at MasterCard.
