Citi has appointed Vishal Kapoor as regional trade head for its treasury and trade solutions (TTS) business in Asia Pacific. He will be responsible for the management of a broad range of trade products and solutions, including trade services and finance, supplier finance, export and agency finance, trade risk distribution, trade sales and trade commodity finance. Vishal will report regionally to Amol Gupte, Asia Pacific head for TTS and globally to John Ahearn, global trade head. He is based in Hong Kong.
Vishal began his career in India in 1993 and has more than 22 years’ experience across Citi’s institutional client group businesses. He was most recently head of trade sales for Asia, where he setup a solution sales team to accelerate trade origination for the region. Prior to this, Vishal was instrumental in setting up a structured trade team in the region, working with clients to structure cross border solutions leveraging the Citi network.
