Payments UK, the trade association for the payments industry launched in June 2015, announced that two organisations have signed up to become full members, ipagoo and Prepaid Financial Services (PFS).
The trade association now has 40 full members and 27 associate members, representing a wide spectrum of payment service providers from across the industry. Since its launch, 10 companies have signed up to join the new trade association, with more in the pipeline.
Payments UK said that the changing payments landscape has led to an expansion of interest in the association from businesses as diverse as software solutions suppliers and fintech providers to law firms and IT consultancies. Full membership provides organisations with a strong voice in the industry and the opportunity to shape the future of payments and Payments UK is ideally placed to engage with the industry, regulators, government, customers, media, and others on UK, European and global payment issues.
