Specialist financier Falcon Group has become first non-bank financier to join the International Chamber of Commerce’s UK Banking Committee.

Specialist financier Falcon Group has become first non-bank financier to join the International Chamber of Commerce’s (ICC) UK Banking Committee, making the group eligible to nominate staff to attend biannual meetings of the ICC Banking Commission, as well as allowing its experts to work on global task forces – solving problems in the trade finance industry.

As a member, Falcon will be able to influence rules and policies on trade finance and ensure the non-bank industry is represented. The Banking Committee is also a forum for trade finance experts to discuss regulatory changes which could affect their business and which, crucially, could transform the non-bank financing industry. Falcon has provided over US$15bn in financing to companies in over 20 countries, through its eight offices across Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, Europe and the Americas. It recently extended its operations to Australia and New Zealand.
