UniCredit names Filippo Pappalardo head of Americas multinationals

UniCredit said the appointment is the latest strengthening of its international network, with new desks added to the New York branch focusing on debt capital markets, financial institutions and Latin America.

UniCredit has appointed Filippo Pappalardo head of Americas multinationals, effective immediately, reporting to Giovanni Ronca, head of corporate and investment banking Americas since 2014. He will be responsible for coverage of Americas multinationals across corporate and investment banking products including debt capital markets and transaction banking, such as accounts receivable financing, and will lead the expansion of UniCredit’s business with these corporates in the Americas.

Pappalardo was previously responsible for retail, consumer and health care investment banking for US multinationals and has an extensive background in mergers and acquisitions (M&A). He will continue to be based in New York, where UniCredit’s focus is on clients with significant euro funding needs or with major European business activities who need to access its banking network across Western, Central and Eastern Europe.
