Accuity BETS on AML & KYC compliance

BET Entertainment Technologies, an online gambling company based in Portugal, has selected Accuity to boost its Know Your Customer (KYC) and anti-money laundering (AML) compliance controls.

The contract to supply Accuity KYC and AML compliance technology to the BET online gambling firm was specifically required to meet a new regulation imposed on the Portuguese gambling industry by the local regulator, Serviços de Regulação e Inspeção de Jogos (SRIJ).

BET Entertainment Technologies worked with its partner SSP, a Portuguese company specializing in AML and fraud detection, to select and implement the Accuity solutions, which are part of its Fircosoft portfolio.

The Fircosoft solution is pre-packaged and pre-configured to screen BET Entertainment Technologies’ customers against sanctions and politically exposed persons (PEP) lists to ensure the online gambling firm is protected against regulatory and reputational risk.

The entire package, with the Accuity package, allows BET to cover the due diligence lifecycle – from real-time checks during the on-boarding process, to batch-screening of existing customers. The new technology stack ensures BET knows whether its counterparties are implicated in fraud or money laundering activities.
