TSYS names new president of merchant solutions

Total System Services, aka TSYS, the US-based credit card processor, merchant acquirer and bank credit card issuer, has appointed Philip McHugh as senior executive vice president (SEVP) and president of merchant solutions, effective May 1. He will report directly to Pam Joseph, president and chief operating officer (COO) of the company.
McHugh joins TSYS with more than 20 years of experience in international banking and payments. Most recently he served as chief executive officer (CEO) of Barclaycard Business Solutions. He has spent more than 10 years with the company, having also held the position of chief financial officer (CFO) for Barclaycard. Prior to Barclays, McHugh spent ten years with Citigroup covering Latin America including management roles with their credit card division in Brazil.
McHugh earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, and his Master of Business Administration from the University of South Carolina.
