Standard Chartered launches open banking API developer portal

The bank says the launch is the latest step in its digitisation agenda and increases its coloration with partners ranging from corporates to fintechs.

Standard Chartered has launched its open banking application programming interface (API) developer portal, the latest step in its development of API services for transaction banking. The bank added that the launch of the portal will further its digitisation agenda and increase collaboration with a wide spectrum of partners including corporates, fintechs and the developer communities.

The portal will initially provide a repository of transaction banking API services focussed on cash management and progressively rollout other API services for Standard Chartered’s other businesses. “This will enable clients and partners to develop value added applications by integrating their services with the bank while reducing the integration costs and time,” the bank commented.

Further information and an application for access to the ACI developer portal can be found at https://developer.sc.com.
