Société Générale’s global transaction banking division (SG GTB) announced three appointments in Germany, Switzerland and the US to strengthen its payments and cash management team globally:
- Gabriele Schnell is appointed head of payments and cash management in Germany. Joining from HSBC Trinkaus & Burkhardt, she is a certified corporate treasurer and is based in Frankfurt. Before moving to the banking industry, Schnell held various executive positions from 1995 to 2006 within the Treasury department of the multinational chemicals manufacturing corporation BASF.
- Bart de Boer becomes head of corporate cash management in Switzerland. Previously head of payments and cash management in Germany, he is based in Zürich. He first joined SG in 2002 in Amsterdam to head up the corporate cash management department in the Netherlands
- Jess Villarina is appointed head of payments and cash management in the US. Joining from Barclays Bank, he is based in New York. He started his career at Bankers Trust Company (Deutsche Bank) in 1995.
The appointments are effective immediately and report globally to international payment and cash management within SG GTB, headed up by Aurélien Viry.
