Treasury Live: Is the future of banking more traditional than you think?
In the first our new Treasury Live podcast series, The Global Treasurer discusses what the future of banking will look like - and how it might be more traditional than you think.
Welcome to The Global Treasurer’s new Treasury LIVE series – where we’re going to bring you interviews with some of the leading players in the treasury space.
To kick things off, Austin Clark speaks to Professor Moorad Choudhry about the future of banking. Moorad is a senior banker with extensive experience covering commercial, investment and retail banking – and has managed treasury desks at different banks – as well as designing and founding the BTRM Certificate of Bank Treasury Risk Management.
In the discussion, Moorad uses that experience to paint a picture around why modernization is inevitable – driven by factors such as digitalization, open standards and regulation, amongst others – but how the future banking landscape might be more traditional than you think.
We hope you enjoy the podcast – let us know your thoughts – and do get in touch if you would like to feature in future episodes.
