The Journeys to Treasury report, produced in collaboration with BNP Paribas, PwC, SAP and the European Association of Corporate Treasurers (EACT), investigates treasurers’ priorities from around the world.
“We were able to combine the European results, Asian results and North American results to come across the topics top of mind for treasurers,” Mellado said.
Mellado added that in this year’s edition of the report, topics were understood in a more “strategic” way, which meant the report became relevant to CFOs and CEOs – and not just treasurers.
“We took the topics a bit more strategically than in previous occasions, where we were looking at very hot topics, but they were always very focused on a specific trend like instant payments, like real time. But now we took it a bit more on the strategic level, which starts at the CFO.
“So, the content of the report can be of interest not only to the treasurer, but to CFOs and CEOs who need to understand how the rest of the business is behaving.”
