ABN AMRO Adds To New Working Capital Business With Senior Hire

Adding to the management team of its newly created Working Capital business, ABN AMRO said it had appointed New York based-banker Ann Cairns as the bank’s Head of Working Capital Business Management. Cairns joins ABN AMRO from Citibank, where she was the Chief Operating Officer for Citigroup’s e-Business, part of the Transaction Services Group, who serve clients in over 100 countries and generate revenues of over $3.5 billion per annum. Prior to this Cairns was Head of Offshore Engineering Planning for British Gas Plc. Senior Executive-Vice President and Head of Working Capital for ABN AMRO, Robert van Paridon, said that ABN AMRO is aiming to be the bank of choice for how its clients, both Corporate and Financial Institutions, move and manage their short-term funds globally. ‘Ann is regarded as one of the world’s most prominent business leaders in the field of transaction services, and we are extremely pleased to have her join the bank and confident that she will help to deliver on this goal,’ he added.
