SmartSynch Hires Ajit Habbu as CFO

SmartSynch, a smart grid technology company using standard IP communications via public wireless networks, has hired Ajit Habbu as chief financial officer (CFO).

Habbu joins SmartSynch with more than 25 years of technology and financial experience in a leadership capacity. From 1983 to 1999, he worked for IBM, where he held numerous management positions, including CFO of the company’s education business unit, a 450-person sales and service organisation with worldwide revenue of US$1.5bn.

Most recently, Habbu served as CFO for Ener1, a clean technology company that makes Li-ion batteries for hybrid vehicles. Prior to that, Habbu was the CFO for Recall, a US$500m global information management services company.
