GTEC Promotes Joseph Cormier to CFO
Global Defense Technology & Systems (GTEC), a provider of technology-based systems, solutions and services for national security agencies, has promoted Joseph Cormier to executive vice president (EVP) and chief financial officer (CFO), effective 1 October 2010. James Allen, GTEC’s current EVP and CFO, will transition to a part-time employee and become a senior advisor to the company.
Cormier joined GTEC in January 2010 as senior vice president (SVP), finance, where he has been a key member of the management team. Before joining GTEC, he was responsible for the ManTech International Corporation’s merger and acquisition (M&A) programme, executed capital structure transactions and led the investor relations function as a key member of the senior executive team that grew the company to US$2bn in annual revenues.
Prior to ManTech, Cormier was vice president, corporate development of DigitalNet Holdings, where he was instrumental in taking the company public in 2003 and positioning it for its sale in 2004 to BAE Systems. He began his career at Bank of America Securities as an investment banker and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics & Political Science from Columbia University.
