A Wireless Appoints Matthew Goodman as CFO
A Wireless, a retailer for Verizon Wireless, has hired Matthew Goodman as chief financial officer (CFO). Goodman will be charged with managing all aspects of financial planning, assessment, and reporting for the growing company. His responsibilities will include supervising the finance and accounting departments, quantifying key drivers of financial performance, and managing working relationships with banks and other financial institutions.
Goodman, who holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business from North Carolina State University, draws on more than 15 years of experience working with several large-market companies in the finance, management, and wireless sectors. Most recently, as vice president and CFO at Hunt Technologies, Goodman implemented SMART Spending programmes that increased the company’s overall pre-tax and pre-interest earnings (EBIT) by more than US$5.5m over a three-year period.
During a previous tenure as the global vice president of finance with BenQ Mobile/Siemens, Goodman was instrumental in the sale of Siemens’ cell phone division to BenQ – a deal that netted at around US$4bn. Before his work within wireless and technology industries, Goodman also spent three years serving as the director of finance for OccuTest, a division of HealthMate Occupational.
