Workday Appoints Mark Peek as CFO

Workday, a software-as-a-service (SaaS)-based enterprise solutions company for global human resources (HR), payroll, and financial management, has appointed Mark Peek as chief financial officer (CFO). He will join the company in June.

Peek currently serves as CFO and co-president for VMware, a virtualisation and cloud infrastructure company. Prior to this, he held the position of senior vice president (SVP) and chief accounting officer (CAO) at Amazon.com. Peek also spent 10 years as an audit partner at Deloitte, where he focused on technology companies and multinational project and engagement management. He has served on the Workday board of directors since late 2011 and on the board of directors for Trimble Navigation since 2010.

Peek holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and International Finance from Minnesota State University, where he graduated summa cum laude.
