ING CB Launches Online SEPA Training Course for Corporates
ING Commercial Banking (ING CB) has launched an online training course to help corporates prepare for the implementation of the single euro payments area (SEPA) credit transfer (SCT) and direct debit (SDD), due to take effect from 1 February 2014.
The ING training course, entitled ‘SEPA Get Ready’, is available via the ING CB Insights app for iPad and via www.ingsepa.com. It offers corporates and businesses from all 32 countries participating in the project insights in the various processes and systems that form the SEPA infrastructure ahead of the migration. The training is constructed in modules and the level of information varies from basic to detailed, so it is relevant for different departments within businesses. The training, which has been incorporated by the Dutch Association of Corporate Treasurers (DACT) as part of their own programme, includes the following modules:
“We are very pleased to be able to offer such a state-of the-art instrument to businesses, and we are committed to helping our clients make the transition to SEPA standards as smooth as possible,” said Willem Dokkum, a member of the management team for payments and cash management at ING.
“The modules are designed to help businesses become familiar with the different standards and processes that SEPA will bring, which eventually all participating countries will have to comply with. It can be daunting learning an entire new set of processes, but we have no doubt that this training will greatly facilitate the transition.”
