Worldline and Elcom Sign Slovak e-payments Partnership
Atos’ electronic payments (e-payments) subsidiary Worldline and Elcom, a developer and producer of electronic cash registers have signed a reseller-partnership that aims to offer innovative payment solutions to Slovak merchants.
The partners added that Worldline’s innovative payment products will complete Elcom’s cash register offer in the Slovakian market and both parties can offer a complete payment offering to Slovakian merchants.
The e-payments market in Slovakia has big potential. Merchant acceptance in Slovakia has grown in recent years but still remains at a relatively low level of penetration. The partnership aims to increase that growth significantly by reaching 40,000 merchants. Research shows that by accepting e-payments, sales typically increase by 13%.
Worldline offers a portfolio of products for the Slovak merchants, while Elcom produces cash registers for all sizes of business and the hotels, restaurants and catering (HoReCa) sector, as well as industrial all-in-one computers, durable tablets and devices for capturing of biometric signature and e-document management.
