Expertus Adds Corporate Payments Platform for Tablets

Expertus Technologies has launched Expertus Mobile, offered on IOS and Android operating systems, which enables treasurers to access a comprehensive payment and cash management dashboard on their tablets. This can be used to approve payments, generate inquiries and receive alert notifications, which all enhance the customer experience.

Jacques Leblanc, founder and chief executive (CEO) of Montreal, Canada-based Expertus said that while smartphones are a first step, banks have recently moved further with tablet interfaces, which provide even greater functionalities than smartphones.

Increasingly used by treasurers and chief financial officers (CFOs) while on the road, tablets can be used for various functions such as analytical charts and real time visibility on cash, which are difficult to perform off a smartphone.

He added that trends in consumer technology are influencing the types of products and services desired by treasurers. There has been an increasing demand for sophisticated products, putting the onus both on banks and alternative solution providers to integrate mobile interfaces into treasury functions.

The ability to offer mobile interfaces to treasurers allows banks to offer value added services and generate new revenue, enabling them to attract new customers while increasing the satisfaction of existing ones.
