Amadeus and Worldpay Combine on Travel Payments
Payment processor Worldpay and travel industry software specialist Amadeus have signed a global agreement to integrate Worldpay’s payment services into the Amadeus payment platform (APP).
The deal, announced at the 8th annual Airline and Travel Payments Summit (ATPS) event, means that Amadeus’ travel customers will be able to offer more payment choice to their travellers, as they can accept more payments in more countries and in more currencies via Worldpay’s range of payment solutions.
As authorisation is integrated into the ticketing and selling flow, the APP ensures a fast and easy payment process to users, while enhanced transaction information facilitates payment reconciliation.
The APP also offers travel tailored functionalities that provide a secure payment environment to both travellers and travel providers. A single connection to the APP gives access to the multitude of payment options, streamlining the payment process as it eliminates the need to integrate additional payment providers.
