Moven and Accenture develop digital banking service

Online-only bank Moven recently partnered with management consulting services company Accenture to develop new digital banking services.

Online-only bank Moven recently partnered with management consulting services company Accenture to develop new digital banking services.

According to Banking Tech, the two firms intend on helping established banks provide a better service by rolling out digital services to their customers and cut costs as a result.

Moven chief executive and founder Brett King says that partnering with Accenture is essential to the growth of international business and believes they can change attitudes towards banking.

We set out to change what the world thinks of as a day-to-day bank account, starting from scratch with mobile, and providing customers with advice on spending and savings. The alliance with Accenture will be invaluable in helping us mobilize our services globally as we grow to tens of millions of users in a dozen countries,” King said.

Accenture and Moven will enhance banking capabilities such as real-time marketing, biometric authentication and account opening which will also improve services for Moven’s own end users. They also claim to have already signed a contract with a bank, although did not specify which bank.

Joydeep Bhattacharya, managing director of Accenture Interactive, part of Accenture Digital, says that digital is the way to go in order to improve services for customers. “As the digital era accelerates the pace of change, with faster innovation cycles and technology adoption, banks will need to embrace and implement digital innovation, including from leading disruptors, at faster speed Bhattacharya also said that he is happy to work with Moven to help improve the service they provide to customers. “Moven is an innovator in digital banking, and we are pleased to work with them to bring banks solutions that can help them raise the bar in customer experience and operate in the digital era.”
