Trustwave Validates MBU as PCI DSS Compliant
Trustwave, a provider of on-demand data security and payment card industry compliance management solutions, has validated MBU, a payment service provider and transaction processing company, as compliant with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS).
PCI DSS is the payment card industry security requirement for entities that store, process or transmit cardholder data, and has been endorsed by American Express, Discover Network, JCB, MasterCard Worldwide and Visa. Under the PCI DSS, payment service provider compliance requirements are segmented into two levels based on the number of transactions processed and/or transmitted annually.
MBU had to demonstrate compliance by thoroughly reviewing its physical access controls, IT environment and information security policies and procedures, as well as pass an annual on-site assessment. To maintain their compliance, MBU has enrolled in Trustwave’s on-demand compliance management solution, TrustKeeper, to have the necessary tools to support on-going compliance such as quarterly network vulnerability scans.
