Xunlight Appoints David Swank as CFO

Xunlight, a developer of low-cost and flexible thin-film silicon solar modules, has appointed David Swank as vice president and chief financial officer (CFO).

Swank is a seasoned business professional with nearly 30 years of experience. Previously, he served as a member of the board of directors and CFO at Diomed Holdings, a publicly-traded developer of medical laser systems. Swank’s prior experience also includes CFO at Telxon, a publicly-traded global manufacturer of mobile computing systems; regional controller, Asia-Pacific at PepsiCo Foods International; and audit manager at Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Company (currently KPMG), an international Big Four accounting firm.

During his career, Swank has raised over US$150m in both public and private transactions and participated in numerous merger and acquisition (M&A) transactions from US$10m to over US$1.3bn. He earned a BS in Business Administration in the honours accounting program at the Ohio State University and an MBA with a concentration in finance at Southern Methodist University.
