Citi's Agency and Trust Appoints Adrian Nye as Asia-Pacific Head
Citi’s agency and trust business, part of the global transaction services (GTS) division, has appointed Adrian Nye as regional head in Asia-Pacific. Nye has over 17 years experience in the securities industry, 13 of which have been in Asia, and the last 10 with Citi.
In his new role, Nye will report to Alan Smith, head of issuer services based in New York, and to David Russell, head of securities and funds services Asia-Pacific, based in Hong Kong. His primary focus will be on broadening Citi’s range of corporate trust services available to regional issuers and intermediaries active in the capital markets, merger and acquisition (M&A), project finance and securitisation sectors.
Nye began his career at The Industrial Bank of Japan in London and helped establish its corporate trust business. He subsequently held similar positions at Bankers Trust Company, focusing on both corporate trust and the depositary receipts business. Having moved to Hong Kong with Bankers Trust in 1998, he joined Citi in 2001 and moved to Singapore to grow their corporate trust presence in Asia. Nye recently relocated to Hong Kong in April 2010.
