OB Network Grows as RS Components Comes Onboard

RS Components has joined the OB10 electronic invoice delivery network. Operated by Open Business Exchange, the global OB10 network provides members with an electronic invoicing capability, allowing them to offer corporate customers a paperless, purchase-to-pay process. Using the network, RS Components can send invoices electronically, delivering them in the format required by customers’ individual accounting systems. ‘In our line of business streamlining the end-to-end order process is particularly relevant,’ explained Paul Parker, General Manager e-commerce at RS. ‘Our average order value is £80. For many of our customers the cost of administering that purchase can be more than the value of the items ordered. We therefore make every effort to bring that cost down as part of our service offer,’ he noted.
