Vibrant Names Jeff Babka as CFO
Vibrant Media has named Jeff Babka as chief financial officer (CFO). Most recently, Babka was CFO of Sophos, a global IT Security company. Under Babka’s direction, Sophos was on path to complete its initial public offering (IPO) when, within weeks of filing its F-1 with the SEC when the company was acquired by Apax Partners in a transaction valuing it in excess of US$830m.
Prior to joining Sophos, Babka was senior vice president (SVP) and CFO of NeuStar, where he led the company’s efforts in support of its US$700m IPO and listing on the New York Stock Exchange on 29 June 2005, and US$700m follow-on offering in December 2005.
Just prior to joining NeuStar, Babka was executive vice president (EVP), finance and administration and CFO of Indus International, a publicly-held service delivery management software company, where he led the Indus team on two acquisitions and the raising of US$40m in new investor financing while executing a financial turnaround.
Babka is a Magna cum Laude graduate of the University of Dayton, and obtained his MBA from Manhattan College. He is a graduate of the Stanford University Executive Programme, and obtained a certified public accountant (CPA) certification in Ohio in 1974.
