Royal Bank of Canada’s (RBC) Investor & Treasury Services has announced the appointment of James Rausch as Head of Banks, Brokers and Exchanges – Transaction Banking.
Rausch, who has over 25 years’ experience of working in the financial markets, joins RBC from the energy market specialists Powerex. He has also held senior roles at Infoware Software, the Toronto Stock Exchange, and Toronto Dominion Bank, accumulating expertise in cash management, client coverage, risk management, trading and corporate finance.
RBC Investor & Treasury Services provides Canadian clearing, cash management and trade finance services to financial institutions worldwide. It is the largest provider of custody in Canada, with just over 40% of Assets under Administration, and is used by 60% of the world’s top 20 banks for standard settlement in CAD. Based in Toronto, Rausch will be responsible for relationship management, sales development, and product management for all three segments. He will also join the Investor & Treasury Services Operating Committee, where he will report to Chief Operating Officer Chris Seip.
