Royal Bank of Canada subsidiary RBC Capital Markets has announced the appointment of two senior roles in its European metals and mining group, which is also responsible for coverage of steel in the region.
New vice president Maria Perez-Corral, latterly a director at UBS, brings 10 years’ experience in the investment banking sector, including global steel sector coverage. In a previous role at JP Morgan, Perez-Corrall also specialised in steel and mining M&As.
Rod Beddows, who joins the company as a senior advisor, founded Hatch Corporate Finance International and has more than three decades’ experience in the metals and mining sector.
Both Beddows and Perez-Corrall will report to Richard Horrocks-Taylor, head of metals and mining investment banking for Europe, and will be based in London
