Wibke Pendse is moving from California to London to lead Silicon Valley Bank’s private equity finance and banking business in the UK.
Pendse has over a decade’s experience of working with venture capital firms and private equity, including stints as vice president of venture capital services at Square 1 and assistant vice president of Equity Fund Services at Comerica Bank. She has worked at Silicon Valley since 2010.
Phil Cox, Head of EMEA & India and president of the bank’s UK Branch, said: “There is a significant opportunity to grow this part of our business and Wibke brings a proven track record working with funds across all sectors and stages.”
Silicon Valley’s UK operations span banking and finance services from capital strategies and solutions to industry insights. The bank has over 1200 private equity and venture capital clients worldwide.
