Societe Generale has appointed Benoît Desserre as global head of global transaction banking and deputy head of global transaction & payment services (GTPS), replacing Christian Behaghel who has decided to retire.
Societe Generale has appointed Benoît Desserre as global head of global transaction banking and deputy head of global transaction & payment services (GTPS), replacing Christian Behaghel who has decided to retire. He reports to Pascal Augé, Head of GTPS.
Desserre is replaced by Aurélien Viry as head of payments & cash management for GTB. In his new role, Viry is responsible for pursuing the development of the global cash management business line activities.
Desserre’s main responsibilities are to continue Societe Generale’s GTB strategic development to accompany its clientele of financial institutions and corporates as part of a broad-based banking relationship. On this basis, he will directly oversee four business lines: corporate cash management, cash clearing/correspondent banking, trade finance and factoring and will be supported by Societe Generale’s international network.
