Bank of Ireland shakes up executive team

Bank of Ireland has announced that Sean Crowe, group treasurer, will take up the role of chief executive of markets & treasury.

Bank of Ireland (BOI) announced the retirement of Michael Torpey, who served as the chief executive of corporate banking, markets & treasury for five years.

According to reports, the firm has decided that Toni Hayes will continue in the role of chief executive of corporate banking while Sean Crowe, group treasurer of BOI, takes up the role of chief executive of markets & treasury.

BOI’s CEO, Francesca McDonagh, commented on the developments and congratulated Sean Crowe and Toni Hayes on their expanded roles.
